Jonesboro-Curtis Hurshel Pierce, 83, passed away September 8, 2018 at St. Bernard's Medical Center.
He was born September 18, 1934 to Charley Pierce and Era Taylor Pierce in Jonesboro.
Mr. Pierce worked for Coca-Cola bottling company for 38 years. He proudly served in the Army for 2 years, stationed in Germany and 3 years in the National Guard as a Sergeant. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and listening to old country music. He loved his family, children, and grandchildren and loved God. He was a member of the Big Creek Valley Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death in addition to his parents, a brother, Thurman Pierce; a sister, Mary Emma Pierce; a brother-in-law, Henry Sharp and a sister-in-law, Jane Pierce.
He is survived by his wife, Charlene Pierce of the home; a daughter, Belinda Adams (Curtis) of Jonesboro; two brothers, Charles Pierce and Herbert Pierce of Jonesboro; a sister, Irma Sharp of Jonesboro; two granddaughters, Heather McFall and Rachel Adams of Jonesboro; a grandson, Dustin Adams and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Gary Gipson officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:30-1:30 pm at the Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the St. Judes Children's Hospital.
