Jonesboro- Cookie Yopp, 66, passed away Monday, November 18, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born December 7, 1952 in St. Louis and raised by the late John and Anna Gaddie. Cookie owned and operated a beauty shop in Jonesboro for many years and had worked for Gregg Funeral Home. She was a cosmetologist for forty-eight years and had made many friends over the years.
She is survived by her children, JoLynne Skaggs (Max) and John Paul Yopp (Angela); a brother, John Phillip Gaddie (Fern); two sisters, JoAllison English (David) and Sherri Porter; grandchildren, Elaysha Skaggs, Kylor Skaggs, Ethan Yopp, Harley Yopp, Abby Yopp, Jacob Yopp, Baylee Yopp and Emma Grace Yopp; and her dog and companion of seven years, Kenzie.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Gaddie and a sister, Anna Huffman.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 until time of service Wednesday.
A celebration of her life will be 4:00 pm Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Cathedral Baptist Church with Rev. Ken Beaver officiating under the direction of Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
