Jonesboro- Connie Mae Wilkerson, 87, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at NEA Baptist Hospital.

She was born September 23, 1929 in Jonesboro to the late Raymond and Stella Estes Purtee. She was a homemaker and was very active in the Extension Homemakers Club, she enjoyed sewing, cooking, quilting, fellowship and her flower garden. Mrs. Connie will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Valley View Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Cecil Wilkerson Jr.; two sons, Dwayne Wilkerson (Jane Crawford) of Tulsa, OK and Brian Wilkerson (Carmen) of St. Louis; four grandchildren, Becky Prine, Brad Wilkerson, Brandon Wilkerson and Curtis Wilkerson and seven great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a great-grandchild and three brothers and two sisters.

A celebration of her life will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Valley View Church of Christ with Spencer Furby, David Gibson and Michael Meredith officiating. Interment will follow at Keller's Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from noon until time of service Thursday at the church.
