Obituary

Jonesboro- Connie Sue Berry, 83, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016. She was born August 14, 1932 in Jonesboro to the late Robert and Bessie Lunsford Hunter Sr. She worked for many years as a sewing machine operator and supervisor at Frolic Footwear. Mrs. Berry enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and going to the lake. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by a son and his wife, James P. and Teresa Berry of Jonesboro; four grandchildren, Renee Berry of Jonesboro and Todd Gambill of Paragould, Michael Gibson (Sarah) of Brookland and Jaclyn McGowan (Justin) of Paragould; ten great- grandchildren, Cadence Berry, Bailey Kummer, Meadowlee Kummer all of Jonesboro, Eric Gambill of Oklahoma, Margaret Gambill of Biloxi, Mississippi, Keenan Gibson of Bono, Javan McGowan, Jaylee McGowan, Jolie McGowan and Jaxson McGowan all of Paragould; a sister, Dorothy Coleman of Jonesboro and a brother, Roy Hunter (Bonnie) of Wynne. She is also preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Berry Gambill; a sister, Magnolia Hancock; three brothers, Jasper Hunter, R. C. Hunter Jr. and James "Doc" Hunter. A celebration of her life will be 9:00 am Friday, February 19, 2016 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Dillinger officiating. Burial will follow at Nettleton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Coty Penter, Justin McGowan, Robert Coleman, Eric Gambill, Mike Causey and Jamie Ansel.
