Jonesboro- Cona Jean Wells Reeves Blue, 85, passed away January 19, 2017 surrounded by loved ones.
Cona was born October 30, 1931 in Birdell, AR to the late James "Jim" Marvin and Fannie Rose Hufstedler Wells. She was a member of the Jonesboro congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was married to Elmer Richard Wells in 1947. They had two children together, Michael Richard Wells and Rosa Faye Welch. In 1955 she married Charles Walter Reeves. During their 42 years of marriage they had three children, Rebecca C Burris, Charles Walter Reeves Jr., and David Allen Reeves. After her husbands passing, she married Ramond Pete Blue of East Prairie, MO on August 8, 1999. They were married for 7 years before Ramond passed away.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ramond Pete Blue; great-grandson, Andrew Edward Burris; siblings, Waymon Wells, Ruth Menard, James Wells, Reva Blackwell, Lillie Hippinsteel, Bonnie Watson, and Thomas Wells.
She is survived by children, Michael Wells of Jonesboro, Rosa Welch of Hazlewood, MO, Rebecca Burris of Farmington, MO, Charlie Reeves, Jr. of Caruthersville, MO, and David Reeves of Malden, MO; 16 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren; special cousin, Mary Lou Grissom; along with many other family and friends.
Both services at McNabb Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday, January 22, 2017 from 2-4 pm with a funeral service Monday, January 23, 2017 at 1 pm with the minister of Jehovah\u0027s Witnesses from Malden congregation, Allan Laszewski officiating. Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
