Cona Jean Doan was ushered to heaven on angels wings on Wednesday, March 4, 2020. She left this earth at Randolph Home surrounded by many loved ones and friends.

Cona was born on October 7, 1941 to Clyde and Eva Dean in the Sharum community. She was blessed with a baby brother, Larry Joe Dean, on October 8, 1943. He was the light of her life. She married her life-long soul mate, Clarence Tanner Doan on October 7, 1967.

Cona is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Eva Dean, two daughters, Vicki Lynn Saylors and Star Ann Saylors and a special sister-in-law, Fredia Finch.

Cona is survived by her husband, Clarence Tanner Doan, her children, Melody (John) Luttrell of Pocahontas, Shawn (Stacey) Doan of Pocahontas; grandchildren: Payton and Gracie Doan, brother, Larry Joe (Linda) Dean of Viola, nieces, Celena (DeeGee) Rorex of Pocahontas, Ginger (Chris) Tillman of Black Rock; great nieces and nephews Jonathon Rorex and fianc Jessica Davis, Jordan Rorex (Marshall Thompson), Tel (Makenzie) Britton, Makenzie Britton (Alex Jones), and great-great niece Tatum Laike Britton.

Cona was a woman of strong faith, compassion, and the epitome of love and selflessness. She gave her heart to anyone she met without conditions. She was of the Baptist faith and instilled a strong Christian foundation in her family. The void she leaves is immense and her shoes can never be filled.

Visitation will be Friday, March 6, 2020 in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home from 5-8 PM. Services will be Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 2:00 PM with Jeral Dean and Kevin Barnett officiating. Burial will follow in Sharum Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include Randy Tribble, Gary Tribble, Jonathon Rorex, Tel Britton, Leslie White, DeeGee Rorex, Chris Tillman, and Leonard Doan.

Honorary Pallbearers include Marshall Thompson, Alex Jones, John Luttrell, Paul Burtman, James Sanders, and Keith Britton.
