Clovis McRoberts, 86, died Monday April 28, 2008 in Cle of Life Hospice in Springdale. His wife, Blondella McRoberts, preceded him in death. He was born July 7, 1921 in Walnut Ridge. He served in W. W. II in the 241st Field Artillery Battallion from 1941 to 1945 and was awarded four bronze stars. He served thirty-four years for the United States Postal Service in Pocahontas. He is survived by a daughter, Penny Lincoln and husband, Bill, of Maynard, a son, Jody McRoberts and wife, Tonya, of Spartenburg, SC, three grandson, Shannon Lincoln of Jonesboro, Josh McRoberts and Davin McRoberts both of Spartanburg, three granddaughters, Tonya Crittenden of Jonesboro, Paje Smith and Hannah McRoberts both of Spartanburg, and one great-grandson, Cole Smith of Spartanburg. Visitaion will be 6-8 Thursday evening at McNabb Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2pm Friday at Piggott Memorial Cemetery with Zane Gragg officiating. Full military honors will be provided by Promberger Traw Post #4556 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Shannon Lincoln, Lloyd Lewallen, Jason Crittenden, Jim Pritchett, Keith Hogan and Bill Barnes will serve as pallbears.
