Myrtle - Clifton Lee King was born February 21, 1930, to Daniel and Ethel King. He passed away at the Elvis Presley Trauma Center August 6, 2017 on his 67th wedding anniversary.
He loved farming and spent his life associated with his home place at Elm Store and Myrtle. He was a member of Walnut Grove Church and served as a deacon faithfully. He worked at the Three in One Store for 23 years, he then became mail carrier for Myrtle until an accident made him unable to work. He then stayed busy with cattle and things on the farm.
He married Mary June Murray on August 6, 1950 and to their union 3 children were born; Donald, Kathryn and Danita.
He enjoyed going to the Senior Citizen center and playing dominoes, seldom missing a Tuesday night.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two children; son, Donald King, daughter Danita King; brother, J.W. King; and sister, Eula Mae Dalton.
He is survived by his wife, June of 67 years; One Daughter, Kathryn and husband Randy; Grandchildren; Melissa (Jason) Hipskind, Matthew (Chrissy) King, Kimberly (Jason) Broeder, Kenneth (Marta) Brown; Great Grandchildren; Austin and Rachel Hipskind, Addison and Andrew King, Jacob, Avery, and Grayson Brown, and Joshusa and Julissa Broeder; One Brother; Danny (Joy) King; a sister; Pat (Tom) Radcliff; daughter-in-law Neal King; and a host of nieces, nephews, and many kids he called his own, who loved to play at his property on the river.
He will be missed by his church, his family and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 10 in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 11 at 11 am at the Walnut Grove Free Will Baptist Church with Richard Todd and Harry Hendricks officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
