Jonesboro- Claud Lowry Smith, 92, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023 surrounded by loved ones.

He was born March 8, 1931 in Toledo, Ohio to the late William and Flora McAfee Smith.  Claud served his country proudly in the United States Air Force. He was a contractor in California for several years. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. He was a member of Valley View Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Bowers Hall Smith; his children, Steven Smith, Dianne Threet, Elizabeth Tau and Mary Jago; step-daughters, Lisa Luster (Lynn) of Jonesboro and Kari Lindsey (Bobby) of Calico Rock; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife and mother of his children, Wilma Smith; wife, Ollie Sue Holman Smith; a son, David Smith; a step-daughter, Leah Hall Woods and several brothers and sisters.

A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 25, 2023 at Kellers Chapel Cemetery with Spencer Furby officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.

There will be no visitation.
