Lake City- Clarence Allen Medlin, 76, passed away Monday, April 24, 2017.
He was born March 31, 1941 in Round Pond, Arkansas and lived in Lake City for forty-nine years and a member of the Baptist Church. He retired from Lincoln Manufactory. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and just being outside and loved his family.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Loria Batchelar; a brother, Bobby Medlin; three sisters, Margaret Anderson, Betty Lively and Julia Baker.
He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-three years, Shirley Medlin; a son, Donnie Medlin; a daughter, Stephanie Wycuff; six grandchildren, Bobbie Ann Moulder, Tony Medlin, Jake Batchelar, Brittany Medlin, Dustin Medlin and Morgan Medlin; six great-grandchildren; two sons- in-laws, Earl Wycuff and Jerry Wayne Batchelar and a daughter-in-law, Dawn Medlin.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 pm Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Refugee Baptist Church.
A celebration of his life will be 4:00 pm Thursday, April 27, 2017 at the Refuge Baptist Church with Rev. Jacob Rahrig officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake City Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home in Monette.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Dustin Medlin, Morgan Medlin, Tony Medlin, Jake Batchelar, Thomas Pyburn and Pam Pyburn and honorary pallbearers are Junior Wilbanks and Teddy Cassulis.
