Harrisburg- Christine Taylor, 85, passed Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at Woodbriar Nursing Home.

She was born September 28, 1937 to the late Clarence and Mae Smith in Cherry Valley. Christine loved to tend to her flowers and make candies and desserts. She also loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, John Taylor; daughters, Rhelda Noble (Bill) of Advance, MO and Brenda Hammett of Brookland; son, John Taylor, Jr. of Springfield, MO; and granddaughters, Elizabeth Tippitt and Amanda Noble. She is also survived by her two brothers, J.C. and Roger Smith; and her sister Freda Partain; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Rebecca Taylor; granddaughter, Jamie Hammett; and brother, Donnie Smith.

A graveside service to celebrate of her life will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery with Jerry Thompson presiding.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Saturday at Gregg-Weston Funeral Home.
