Christine Hunter Riggs, 90, passed away April 20, 2021 at Pocahontas Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Christine was born August 17, 1930 to the late Jesse James Hunter and Thelma Willie Alma Looney Hunter in Warm Springs. Christine married Bedford-Warren October 9, 1949, who served a 20-yr career in the Navy (WWII Vet). Their travels included: Charleston, SC; Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; Falls Church, VA; Bremerhaven German, \u0026 Winter Harbor, ME. Her retirement years she lived in Texas, Maine, and her hometown of Pocahontas AR.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bedford Warren Riggs and grandson, Jesse Riggs.
She is survived by her sons, Mike (Patti) Riggs, Patric Riggs and Herbert (Jenna) Riggs; sister Gwendolyn Shratz; grandchildren, Cathy (Steve) O'Halloran, Heidi Riggs (Arnold Strout), Jared Marritt, Lauren (Lloyd) Farr, Spencer, Caleb, Abraham, Abigail, Neal, Maxwell, Eden, Lincoln, and Jonah Riggs; nephew David (Stacey) Shratz.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 10:00A.M. at the Thomas Cemetery.
