Pocahontas - Chris Hubert Wren, 84, passed away Monday, January 19, 2009 at Five Rivers Medical Center. He was born February 9, 1924 in Randolph County to the late Dan and Cathrine Wren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary June Wren, 3 brothers and 1 sister. He is survived by 2 sons, Rodney Wren of Festus, MO, and Jeff Wren of Pocahontas, AR. 1 daughter, Julia Alsalman of St. Augustine, FL, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. 2 brothers Bob and Martin Wren both of Pocahontas. 1 sister, Norma Schaechtel also of Pocahontas and a very special friend, Nina Hausman of Pocahontas. Service will be held at 10:30 Friday, January 23, 2009, at St. Johns Catholic Church. Burial will follow to St. Johns Cemetery with Paul Worm officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home. Rosary service will be held at 7 following visitation. Military honors will be done by Promberger Traw Post 4556.
