Chester Eugene Burgett of High Ridge, Missouri, was born on October 30, 1942, in Maynard, Arkansas, to John and Dula Burgett and entered into rest on Monday, June 2, 2025, in House Springs, Missouri, at the age of 82.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Sandra Sue (Shocklee), his parents, John and Dula Burgett, brother Gilbert Burgett, and sister Ima Mae McKnight.

He is survived by his two children, Brady Burgett and Cindy (Michael) Horn; his grandchildren, Karlee (George) Schmitt, Devin Horn, Dawson Burgett, and Kyndall Burgett; two sisters, Clara Nell Bishop and Eileen Mann; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Chester loved God, family, friends, and life. He enjoyed traveling, reading, tractors, bluegrass music, and helping others. Our family is grateful to know that Chester is finally at peace in Heaven with Sandy, surrounded by family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill, Missouri. Visitation will also be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at McNabb in Pocahontas, Arkansas. Funeral services will be held at McNabb at 1 pm. Interment will immediately follow at Palestine Cemetery in Ingram, Arkansas.
