Mrs. Charlotte Pauline Yancey Nichols of Wynne, departed this life Monday morning, July 27, 2015, at her home, at the age of 57. She was born December 26, 1957 in Harrisburg, the daughter of Clarence Yancey and Virginia Banks Yancey. She was a 1976 graduate of Harrisburg High School and received an Associates Degree in Computer Sciences from EACC. She worked 27 years for Halstead and Meuller in Wynne and was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother and father in law, Eugene and Juanita Nichols, the father of her children, Larry Eugene Nichols, a daughter, Rebecca LeAnne Nichols, and two brothers, Anthony Floyd Yancey and Paul David Yancey. She is survived by a son, Jerrod Nichols of Wynne, four sisters, Shirley Yancey Shannon of Harrisburg, Vickie Yancey Hively (Randy) of Cherry Valley, Linda Yancey Popejoy (Larry) of Trumann, Melissa Yancey Hooper of Bay Village, two brothers, Butch Yancey (Sevella) of Harrisburg, Tommy Yancey (Betty) of Marina, CA, several nieces and nephews and special friends from the HHS Class of 1976. Funeral Services are tentatively set for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brandon Mize officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home Saturday, 1:00 p.m. till service time. Nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.
