Pocahontas- Charles Lester Rue, 67, formerly of Monette passed away Monday, April 22, 2013. Mr. Rue was born December 24, 1945 in Jeep, Arkansas to the late John Albert and Helen Blanche Rue. He was a farmer and worked at a cotton gin. He loved hunting, fishing and the river. He is survived by his children, Shelia Nunez, Charles Rue and Michael Clayton; a brother, Bobby Rue; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Roy Wesley Rue, John William Rue and James Elbert Rue. A celebration of his life will be 10:00 am Friday, April 26, 2013 at the Gregg Funeral Home in Monette with Mr. Dennis McCarty officiating. Burial will follow in Macey Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 pm, Thursday, April 25, 2013 at the Gregg Funeral Home in Monette. Honored to serve as pallbearers are John Rue, Greg Simmons II, Daryel Simmons Jr., Jackie West and Bobby Douglas. Lasting memorial may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
