Walnut Ridge- Charles M. Burgess, 90, passed away May 17, 2015 at St. Bernards Medical Center. Charles was born September 23, 1924 in Pocahontas, AR to the late Noah and Thine Burgess. Charles is survived by his children Peggy Joan (Luther) Allen, Gary (Leta) Burgess, Dennis (Becci) Burgess, 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and two brothers Ray (Dorothy) Burgess and Tom (Shirley) Burgess. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Alma Ilene Dean Burgess, sisters Sue Bofing , Omega Leslie, and Ivy Higginbotham. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 19, 2015 from 1-2 p.m. at McNabb Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service celebrating his life will be immediately following at 2 p.m. with Derek Collins officiating. Burial will be at Randolph Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
