Obituary

Reverend Charles Kendell Bennett, 84, of Pocahontas departed this life on Sunday April 14, 2024, at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR.

He was born in Myrtle, Missouri to the late Rufford Gordon Bennett and Bessie Lorine Mitchell Bennett on May 27, 1939. Charles was a Reverend for 56 years.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Rufford and Lorine Bennett; son, Scott Bennett; granddaughter, Andrea Bennett; brother, Russel Bennett; sisters, Bessie Ritchey and Jeneta Turner.

He is survived by his wife Sharon Bennett of the home; children, Clinton (Diane) Bennett of Ravenden Springs, daughter-in-law, Janie Bennett of Ravenden Springs, Tammy (Shawn) Ross of Ravenden Springs, Nita (Sammy) Chaisson of Pocahontas, Barbara (Greg) Meeks of Pocahontas, Kenny (Tonya) Bennett of Ravenden Springs, Amy Bennett and partner Shane Wood of Ravenden Springs, Lynn (James) Massey of Pocahontas and Justin Bennett of Pocahontas; twenty-four grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren; siblings, BW (Jewel) Bennett of Pocahontas, Clifton (Janet) Bennett of Couch, MO.,  Dean (Ramona) Bennett of Myrtle, MO., Neal Bennett of Blytheville, Virgina White of St. Petersburg, MO., Glenda Upton of St. Charles, MO., brother-in-law, Perry Turner of Thayer, MO., and Betty Bennett of Fredrick, MD. and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held 12:00 – 2:00 P.M.  Wednesday April 17, 2024, in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel with the funeral service to begin at 2:00 P.M. with Eugene Abrams officiating.
