Jonesboro- Catherine Graham, 100, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020.
She was born Lena Catherine Golden on June 6, 1920 to the late Joe and Oza Wingfield Golden in Arkadelphia. On March 10, 1942, she married the love of her life, Ewing Graham. After her husband returned from World War II, the family moved to Jonesboro in 1946. She worked as a bookkeeper for both Patton and Ryburn Ford Dealerships and for the Jonesboro Public Schools.
During her retirement years, she enjoyed cooking, gardening and quilting. She was an active member of Walnut Street Baptist Church for over seventy years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-nine years, Ewing Graham and a son, Denny Graham.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Kaye Miller (Cloyce) of Green Valley, Arizona; a sister, Janette Melton of Richmond, Virginia; a daughter-in-law, Marcia Graham; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A small graveside celebration of her life will be at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Parker officiating, with close family members attending under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
