Obituary
Lake City - Carolyn Annette Lippert, 86, departed this life Saturday, January 18, 2020, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.
She was born August 27, 1933, the daughter of the late Babe Fletcher and Alice Crockett Fletcher.
In the words of her son Trent, "the Lord took my sweet mother into his arms this morning ending her suffering and pain. She was born during the Great Depression years and was an only child. After graduating from Dixie High School in 1951, she went to business school and became a professional secretary. In an era when most women were stay at home moms she led a new generation of females in the work force. I was always very proud of her for that. She had a shyness about her but made friends easily and everyone loved her. It's hard to imagine a world without her but I know God has a new angel this morning. She was a wonderful mother and an even better friend who I could always confide in. Please say a prayer for our family."
Annette worked at Mid-South Plumbing for 40 years. She also worked for Dr. Robert Robbins and Dr. Dennis Parten. She enjoyed working in the yard, reading and her dog, Elvis. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed visiting with people. She was a member of the Walnut Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry "Hank" Lippert.
She is survived by a son, Trent Fletcher (Diane) of Jonesboro; a daughter, Kim Despain (Gary "Wompus") of Lake City; two granddaughters, Caitlin Despain of Lake City, and Tiffany Drennan (Kelby) of Springdale; three grandsons, Clay Despain (Leah) of Jonesboro, Ryan Fletcher (Brittany) of Jonesboro and Tyler Timms of Wickes and four great grandsons, Sloan Despain and Duck Davis both of Jonesboro, Parker Drennan and Sawyer Drennan, both of Springdale.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2020, at the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Monday evening, 5:00-7:00 p.m.
