Carolyn Francis Johnson, 85, of Jonesboro, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at Belle Meade’s with her family by her side.
She was born on September 9, 1940 to Katherine and William Davis. Carol attended St. Paul’s United Methodist church. She served as Den Leader for Boy Scouts of America, president of Arkansas Democratic Women, and enjoyed playing cards with her close friends. Carol and Aden were the proud owners of Tom’s franchise company for 20 years. Carol was an appraiser for Craighead County Assessor’s office and worked for the Craighead County Collectors office.
Carol is survived by two sons, Tim Johnson (Robin) of Finch and Greg Johnson (Sandra) of Jonesboro; three grandchildren, Logan Marie Smith (Blaine) of Bono, Dalynn Timothy Johnson (Laura) of Walcott and Madison Claire Milton (Anthony) of Brookland; and great-grandchildren, Bayne Johnson, Lukacee Smith, Carter Cole, Liam Johnson, Lincoln Milton, and Ellie Claire Milton.
She was preceded in death by her husband Aden Johnson, sons Christopher and Steven, sister, Virginia Cunningham, and brother Richard Davis.
The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful staff at Belle Meade’s Campbell house for going above and beyond and loving and taking care of Carol.
A celebration of Carols life will be held Monday, March 2, 2026 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel at 12 pm with Donna Walpole officiating. Internment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 am Monday, until time of service at the funeral home.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Dalynn Johnson, Anthony Milton, Blaine Smith, Bayne Johnson, Tim Johnson and Greg Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are Liam Johnson and Lincoln Milton.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be sent to Options on Main.
