Jonesboro- Carolyn Jo Ball, 84, passed from this life Thursday, April 6, 2023 at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House.

Jo was born September 2, 1938 in Marmaduke to the late L.E. "Pete" and Leta Ward Woodsmall. Jo graduated from Childress High School and attended Harding University. She was a member of the Southwest Church of Christ and had been active in the Jonesboro Junior Auxiliary. She loved traveling, spending time with friends and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She was a managing partner in Ed Ball Construction Company.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ed Ball.

She is survived by two sons, Ken and Russ both of Jonesboro; three grandchildren, Aaron Ball of Dallas, Texas, Jessica Ball and Alyssa Ball both of Jonesboro; three sisters, Pat Hawkins (Bill) of Monette, Betty Rains and Vicki Hickman both of Jonesboro and four close friends, Barbara Brinkley, Belinda Hansen, Kathy Sparks and Donna Cooper.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2023 at Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home with Jimmy Adcox officiating. Interment will follow at Monette Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00 until time of service Monday at the funeral home.
