Pocahontas - Carol Sue Mondy, 65, was born June 02, 1947 in Roswell, N.M. to Helen Herbert and the late Maurice Herbert of Ruidoso, N.M. She is preceded in death by her father, Maurice Herbert, and her baby sister, Marsha Kay. She is survived by her husband, Tom Mondy of the home; four children, Sherry Clark of Chocowinity, N.C., Heather Elliott of Pocahontas, Matthew Mondy of Jonesboro and Jessica Alphin of Pocahontas; nine grandchildren, Ryan, Tyler, Danielle, Taylor, Alexandra, Abby and Michael, Aiden and Corey; her mother, Helen Herbert of Ruidoso, N.M.; three sisters, Ginger Cox of Roswell, N.M., Phyllis Starr of Ruidoso, N.M. and Joyce Mares of Fort Collins, CO.; a brother, Michael Herbert of Las Crusas, N.M.; and many others she called friends and family. She passed away Saturday morning at St. Bernards Medical Center surrounded by her family. Memorial service will be held at 7 P.M. Tuesday, February 05, 2013 in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Jeff Hamm officiating. Visitation will be held at 5 P.M. until service time on Tuesday.
