Carmeta Bagwell, 87, of Ravenden, entered her heavenly home on Monday, September 21, 2026, at St. Bernards Five Rivers Hospital.

Carmeta was born on April 3, 1939, in Imboden, Arkansas, to the late Forest Albert Stogsdill and Bertha Jane Garrett Stogsdill. She earned her nursing degree and dedicated her career to caring for others as an LPN in Labor and Delivery. Her compassionate heart and caring nature touched the lives of many throughout her years of service.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Bagwell; her parents, Forest and Bertha Stogsdill; and her son, Robert Pogue.

Carmeta is survived by her daughter, Juanita (Michael) Biddle; grandchildren, Zane, Carmela, Holly, Cody and Natasha, along with many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends who will cherish her memory.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Lebanon Cemetery with Mike Jones officiating.

Cremation has been chosen as her final disposition. Services are under the direction of McNabb Funeral Home.
