Obituary

Carman Harris, 83, of Maynard, Arkansas departed from life at his home on Wednesday, December 16, 2020.

He was born in Supply, Arkansas, January 11, 1937 to the late Herman and Annie (Snowden) Harris. He was a SGT with the U.S. Army serving six years. He was a construction worker and owned/operated a sawmill. He was an avid horseman who raised and trained horses and mules. He enjoyed going with friends on trail rides and wagon trains.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and five brothers: Joseph (Joe), Hartwell, Robert (Bob), Norman, and Jess Harris.

He is survived by his fiancee', Brenda Terrell of the home. Three children: Deborah (Michael) Aldrige of Winnsboro, Texas, Jeff (Sharah) Harris of Maynard, and Mari (Brian) Dean of Indianapolis, Indiana. Seven grandchildren: Stephanie (Johnnie) Rape and Kimberly (Skylar) Green of Winnsboro, TX, Emily (Mike) Gray of Ft. Collins, CO, Clint Dean and Mckenzie Dean of Indianapolis, IN, Caroline Graham and Trey Graham of Maynard. Five great grandchildren: Dmitri, Donovon, Michael, Lindie, Tyler, Julianna, and Isabella. Stepchildren/grandchildren: Traci Reaves and Brent Terrell of Malden, MO. Terrell, Brittney, Drew, and Wyatt. A sister Jean Helsel of Pocahontas. Along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

All family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service honoring Carman's life on Saturday, January 2, 2020 at 2pm. It will be held at the United Methodist Church in Maynard.
