Cherry Valley- Carl Vance Rolland, 66, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at his daughter's home.

He was born March 6, 1951 in Wynne. He went to Cross County High School. Carl served his country proudly in the United States Air Force from 1972 until 1974 as a cargo specialist. He worked as a farm hand most of his life and raised hogs. He had to retire in 2001 following a heart attack. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and visiting at local stores. He will be remembered as a loving son, brother, father, grandfather and friend.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Leo Rolland.

He is survived by his mother, Annie Muriel Bricker Rolland of Cherry Valley; two children and their spouses, Connie and Mitchell Farrell of Moro and Jason and Stefanie Rolland of Bay; three grandchildren, Haley Fowler McDaniel (Tyler) of Moro, Kaidance Rolland and Anna Rolland both of Bay; a great-grandchild, Levi Dean McDaniel; six brothers and their spouses, Merle and Teresa Rolland of Cherry Valley, Scott and Kay Rolland of Pine Bluff, David and Sandy Rolland, Leslie and Joyce Rolland, John and Holly Rolland all of Cherry Valley and Jackie and Susan Rolland of Luxora; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Church of God of Prophecy at 109 Peach St. in Harrisburg with Revs. Ron Tackett and Roger Smith officiating.
