Mr. David Conrad of Harrisburg, departed this life on Sunday, November 28, 2021, at his home, at the age of 79.

He was born April 21, 1942 in Harrisburg, the son of the late Carl Conrad and Ruby Tate Conrad.

David was a farmer most of his life. He married Velma Lee Vernor on December 31, 1965 and they enjoyed 50 years together before her death in 2016.  David retired from Farmers Supply in Harrisburg in 2015.  He enjoyed hunting and going to the cabin in the hills.  He also loved traveling and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, and his wife Velma, he was preceded in death by five sisters, Evelyn Tucker, Sudie Raby, Bea Conrad, Mary McCoy and Marie McCoy, and one brother, Fisher Conrad.

He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Mitleff (Anthony) of Harrisburg; two brothers, Raymond Conrad (Gearldean) of Fayetteville and Leroy Conrad (Minnie) of Trumann; two grandchildren, Mike McMullins of Harrisburg and Magan Mays (Bob) of Harrisburg, and three great grandchildren, Hannah Mays, Logan Mays, and Carly Mays.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, December 2, 2021, at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisburg, with Mr. Paul Elzey and Mr. Bob Chandler officiating.  Interment will follow in Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery.  Friends may visit at the funeral home Wednesday evening, 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Mike McMullins, Daniel Jobe, Michael Jobe, Michael Paul Vernor, Stevie Tucker and Floyd Tucker.  Honorary pallbearers will be James Baney, Johnny Kirby, and employees of Farmers Supply.
