Lake City- Carl Luther Baker, 82, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born September 10, 1933 in Black Oak to the late Charles and Rosella Baker. He was a mechanic and a musician and had worked on a farm during his life. He enjoyed his wife, children and grandchildren. He took in a lot of people that needed help. He had a great sense of humor and loved to joke. He is survived by his children, Sharon Conner of Lake City, Julie Singleton (Scott) and Joey Baker (Debbie) all of Clinton, Iowa; a very close family friend, Carol McFadden and many grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ann Baker in 2015 and son, Danny Baker. A graveside service will be 1:00 pm Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Lake City Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.
