Carl Eugene Bailey, 71, of Williford, departed this life on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Carl was born on June 17, 1955, in Pocahontas to the late Manley B. Bailey and Imogene Brown Bailey. Following his high school graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1979 until 1987. Throughout his working years, he was employed as both a factory worker and a truck driver. Carl enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his friends. He loved to travel and was fortunate to see many parts of the world, always enjoying the opportunity to meet new people along the way. Known for his warm and welcoming personality, Carl never met a stranger and had a gift for making others feel like friends. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Manley and Imogene Bailey; his brother, Don Bailey; his sisters, Brenda Bailey and Anna Price; and his brother-in-law, Bob Price.
Carl leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Carla (Brian) Koberna, Kyle (Angel) Bailey, Michael (Tyler) Bailey, and Matt Bailey; his beloved grandchildren, Lauren, Peyton, Ridge, Wilder, Rory, Dalten, Gavin, Austin, Aiden, and Asher; his siblings, Gail (Kathy) Bailey, Roger (Edna) Bailey, Carolyn (Willie) Riney, and Harold Bailey; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly. He shared a special bond with Tammy Wallace, the love of his life, and treasured the time they spent together.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Hank McElvery. All services will be held in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Janes Cemetery.
