Brookland- Calvin Kenard Johnson, 86, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at NEA Baptist Hospital.

He was born January 15, 1932 in Monette to the late Harry and Lavada Fleming Johnson. He enjoyed wood working, bird watching and fishing.

He is survived by his children and their spouses, Kenard Lee and Penny Johnson of Paragould and Kathy and Rick Ketchum of Brookland; a sister, Ruth Hancock of Missouri; a brother, Delmer Passmore of Louisiana; five grandchildren, Tina Michelle Hardin of Jonesboro, Nekia Johnson and Tabby Johnson both of Paragould, Crissy Stanko of Texas and Jenny Aly of Alabama; thirteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.

He is also preceded in death by his wife, Nadine Johnson; son, Jerry Don Johnson; daughter, Janet Lynn Aly; a grandson, William Chad Hardin; three sisters, Joyce White, Erma Epely and Florence Holcomb; three brothers, Ed Passmore, Jimmy Johnson and Charlie Johnson.

A celebration of his life will be 2:00 pm, Friday, March 16, 2018 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donnie Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Log Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from noon until time of service Friday at the funeral home.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Doug Woodard, Chris Hardin, Austin Hardin, William Hardin, Jerry John Hardin and Delmer Passmore.
