Batesville- Calvin Brown, 77, went to his Heavenly home on March 11, 2025 at his home. He was born December 08, 1947 to the late Stewart and Velma Brown.

Calvin spent 31 years working at Con-Agra as a wastewater technician. He was a Christian, gospel singer, and a faithful member of his church, Church of God of Prophecy. He loved his wife and his son.

He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy Humphrey-Brown of 55 years; brother Stewart (Anita) Brown of Jonesboro; son Chris (Glenda) Brown of Jonesboro; grandson Casey Brown of Jonesboro; granddaughter Abigail Brown of Jonesboro; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by two brothers; Sherman Brown and John Brown; one sister Jessie Manley; and one niece Janie Purcell.

Visitation will be March 13, 2025, at Church of God of Prophecy located at 3605 Race St. Jonesboro, AR, from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025 starting at 10 am at the church with Pastor Susan Killen, Jim Phillips, Paul Craig, and Gary Wyman officiating. Burial services will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Martin Manley, Elton Manley, Andy Hudson, Dalton Hudson, Josh Hudson, and Allen Craig. Honorary pallbearers are the men of the local church.
