Brooksie "Brooks"
Bynum Culver

Brooksie Bynum Culver, 92, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.
Born on May 10, 1932, to the late A.B. Culver and Grace Brooks Culver, Brooks lived a life full of love, dedication, and service. Brooks served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War and served for four years before achieving his bachelor's degree in accounting from Arkansas State University. As an accountant, he worked with ESNA for many years, and his work ethic was a testament to his commitment and integrity. When Brooks retired, he was able to live his dream of raising cattle on the family farm. Brooks was a faithful member of the Church of Christ, where he found both community and strength in his faith throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, A.B. and Grace Culver; sister Chera Lee Buxton; and brother-in-law Asa Buxton.
Brooks is survived by his devoted wife of many years, Carrie Sue Culver, of Jonesboro; his beloved children, Steve (Lisa) Culver of Highland, Arkansas, and Angela (Jim) Murrey of Jonesboro; and his cherished grandchildren, Aaron (Jessie) P. Culver, Natalie (Henry) Pineda, Jameson Murrey, Joseph Murrey, and Jonah Murrey; Brooks's great grandchildren, Boden, Griggs, Audrey, Claira and Creed gave him a lot of love and happiness. He is also survived by his foster son, Keith (Shelly) Futrell, and their children, Heath and Madison Futrell, who were an important part of his extended family. He also leaves behind his cherished nieces and nephews.
Brooks's family was the center of his world, and his legacy will live on through his children, grandchildren, and the many lives he touched with kindness, humility, and love.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M., with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 P.M. All services will take place at the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel, with burial at Brockett Cemetery.
