Bridget Kay Melton, 49, of Reyno passed away Friday, July 23, 2021 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. She passed peacefully surrounded by her son and best friend Barbara James.

Bridget was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Kay Newton; maternal grandparents, Raymond and Esther Melton; and rent a kid, Patrick James.

Bridget is survived by her son, Scott Newton of the home; rent a kids, Hampton Owens, Daniel James, Joseph James, David James, and Aaron Hedge; and a cousin, Hank (Vicky) Melton.

Bridget loved reading, writing, and wrestling. She had a master's degree in accounting. She would discuss Stephen King, CSI, or the Simpsons for as long as anyone would sit and listen.

Bridget's home was always open to anyone who needed her. She was a great woman and will be missed by all who love her.

A memorial service will be held at Starting Point at Pine Grove, 8745 Hwy 90 W, Pocahontas on August 2, 2021 at 10:00 AM with Hampton "Peanut" Owens officiating under direction of McNabb Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to McNabb Funeral Home to help with final expenses.
