Mrs. Brenda Brown of Harrisburg, departed this life Sunday, May 12, 2019, at her home, at the age of 68.
She was born February 27, 1951 in Harrisburg, the daughter of the later Delton Morris and Dorothy McCracken Morris.
Following high school, Brenda worked for American Greetings. She started when the plant opened in Harrisburg and worked there until they closed the facility here. She married Larry Brown on December 23, 1967 and they enjoyed 40 years together before his death in 2007. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her grand babies and great grand babies. She was very loyal to her family and was of the Pentecostal Faith. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Amelia Morris and Maxine Parker, and one brother, Bud Morris.
She is survived by three children, Mona Clayton of Harrisburg, Michelle Flores (Martin) of Harrisburg, and Reggie Brown of Horseshoe Bend, AR, three sisters, Hazel Brecheen, Portia Taylor and Holly Sutherland, all of Concord, AR, two brothers, Leslie Barker of Concord, AR and Jeff Morris of Wolf Bayou, AR, five grandchildren, Eddie Sandefur, J.L. Clayton, Antuane Tenorio, Brianna Brown and Mateo Flores, and seven great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2019, at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ken Jones officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home Friday, 1:00 p.m. till service time.
