Obituary

Brenda Jean Cherry-Daniel, the eldest daughter of Thomas \u0026 Imogene Cherry, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2020 surrounded by her family. Brenda was born on October 7, 1949, in Reyno, Arkansas.

After graduating Pocahontas High School in 1967, Brenda attended Draughons' Business College in Memphis. After graduating business college in 1968, Brenda moved to St Louis to work for BlueCross and BlueShield. She later worked for the MediFac Company in Pocahontas until they closed in 1986.

Labor Day weekend, 1971, Brenda met the man with whom she would spend the next 48 years. On May 27, 1972, in a simple ceremony at her parents home, Brenda married the love of her life, William G. "Bill" Daniel. Of this union was born one daughter, Jamie Lea Daniel; together they built a life of love in their little home on Hickory Street.

A loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, Brenda was proceeded in death by her parents, brother Thomas A. Cherry, sister Pamela Pankey, and nephew, David Cherry. She leaves behind her loving husband, William Daniel, daughter Jamie Daniel, sister Martha Jones, 2 brothers, William Cherry and Larry Cherry, all of Pocahontas. Brenda also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are her nephews and brother in law Kris Pankey, Cory Starr, Ricky Jones, Heath Jones, Josh Rose, and Mark White. Services will be held Sunday, March 15, 2020, 12-2 PM in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home in Pocahontas, with the funeral at 2 PM, with Logan Welch officiating. Burial to follow in Nelson Cemetery in Reyno.
