June 23, 1943 – April 4, 2023
Braxton Lee Teague left this world on April 4, 2023 in Northeast Arkansas Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. Lee was a member of the Central Community Church. Lee was born in Heafer, Arkansas and lived his entire life in Northeast Arkansas. He was a carpenter all his life. He loved to spend time playing music for his family, friends and church family. He moved to Poinsett County in 1978 and retired to Truman in 2018. Lee was a loving husband and father of eight children.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Clyde Lee Teague and Mary Elizabeth Kelly Teague; his brother, Michael Teague; his sister, Mary Ellen DeLaBar; a son, Tony Sanders; a nephew, Steve Teague and a great granddaughter, Melody Nothern.
Lee is survived by his wife of forty-three years, Helen Mayville Teague; five daughters, Karla (Wes) Hazlewood, Sandra Guffey, Christie (Ricky) Willbanks, Susie (Ed) Stepp, and June Carlee (Jason) Chester-Stoltz; two sons, Jim (Jordon) Teague and George Sanders; twenty-one grandchildren, Samantha Sullivan, Shaun OGuinn, Jack Payne, Ricky Stevens, Dustin Sanders, Jessica Willbanks, Angela Willbanks, Jackson Teague, Steven Erb, Ashley Borden, Toni Hervey, Casandra Sanders, Carmen Sanders, Thomas Sanders, Tyler Jones, Bralee-Kate Chester, Avery Chester, Skylar Stoltz, Ryker Stoltz, Walker Stoltz, and Chandler Stoltz; twenty-six great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; three brothers, James (Shirley) Teague, Jeffrey (Jackie) Teague, and Gary Teague; and two sisters, Janice McClelland and Kay Teague.
Visitation will be at Gregg Langford Funeral Home in Jonesboro on April 8, 2023 at 10 am with funeral to follow at 11 am with interment to follow in Willis Cemetery in Harrisburg with Pastor Janice McClelland presiding over the services. Lifelong friend, Larry Don Willbanks will play Beulah Land one final time for Lee.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Rick Stevens, Jack Payne, Thomas Sanders, Craig Teague, David Teague and Scott Teague and honorary pallbearer, Ricky Willbanks, Wes Hazlewood and Jason Stoltz.
