Paragould - Bonnie Sue Holcomb Thornton, 82, passed away Monday, June 29, 2015 at her daughter's home in Pocahontas. She was born March 5, 1933 in Egypt to the late James Joseph and Olevia Pearl Drope Holcomb. She married Alfred Brunson Thornton on September 30, 1950. She devoted her life to God's work and her family. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Alfred; a son, Gary Thornton and all of her siblings. She is survived by her children, Fred (Elaine) Thornton of Jonesboro, Regina (Ronnie) Hagood of Pocahontas, Susan Thornton of Greenbrier and Joe (Carol) Thornton of Paragould; seven grandchildren, Jeremy, Garrett, Karma, Katie, Matt, Cody and Levi. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Hood officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until time of service, Thursday at the funeral home. Honored to serve as pallbearers are her grandchildren.
