Bonnie Jaunita Blevins, 87 of Maynard, passed away on February 3, 2026, at the Springs of Jonesboro Nursing Home.

She was born on November 9, 1938, in the Black River Bottoms near O’Kean, Arkansas to Thomas T. and Minerva E. (James) Simington. She graduated from Ravenden Springs High School in 1957 and married Harold Blevins on September 14th of that year.

She was a devoted wife and mother who worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant before her retirement. She had been a member of Witt’s Chapel Baptist Church since 1957 and for several years, served as a nursery teacher for Training Union and Vacation Bible School in that church. She was also always supportive of all her children’s activities in church, school sports, and the Maynard 4H Club. She loved to crochet, knit, quilt and work puzzles. She also had a passion for bird watching.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; sisters Marvine Gates, Aline Wood Tilley, Irene Jones, Joe Ann Meyer, and Sue Byrd; and brothers O’Dell and O’Dee Simington.

She is survived by sons Larry Blevins (Chris Smart) of Pocahontas and Gary Blevins of Maynard; daughters Cathy Segraves of Supply and Judy Blevins of Pocahontas; grandchildren, Jared (Shana) Whitlock, Victoria Whitlock (Devin Cole), James Whitlock, and Jessica (Brandon) Modlin; great-grandchildren Luke, Thomas, and Jasper Whitlock, Emmett Mansfield, Gabriel Cole, and Elizabeth and Bella Modlin. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as many other relatives and friends also survive.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 10, 2026, 5:00-7:00 P.M. at McNabb Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. McNabb Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Randolph Memorial Gardens.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Jared Whitlock, James Whitlock, Brandon Modlin, Devin Cole, Briar Foster, and Matthew Blevins.
