Weiner- Bobby Joe Davis, 90, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Woodbriar Nursing Home.

He was born February 22, 1933 in Water Valley, Mississippi to the late A. R. and Sammie Ramsey Davis.  He served his country proudly in the United States Army. Bobby was a retired mechanic, he had worked at CASE-IH Company in Weiner and John Deere Company for over forty years. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan and had coached baseball for many years.

He is survived by his nieces, Tammy Pate (Dennis) of Jonesboro, Vickie Ward of Mountain Home and Pat Harris of Asheville, NC; a sister, Patsy Wakefield of Dallas, Texas; nephews, Randall Wakefield of Dallas, Jerrad Wakefield of Covington, TN and David Wakefield of Memphis and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ileta Faye Davis; a brother, Woody Davis.

A graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 28, 2023 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Weiner with Joe Guthrie officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10:00 until time of service at the cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers are Chad Branyan, Jeremy Branyan, Dennis Pate, Travis Birdsong, Jerrad Wakefield and Mary Mullin.
