Mr. Birlus Jerome Brunson of Harrisburg, departed this life Friday, February 4, 2022, at his home, at the age of 57.

He was born June 27, 1964 in Harrisburg, the son of the late Cleophis Sproling and Cecelia Griffin.

After graduating high school, Birlus immediately joined the U.S. Marines and proudly served his country for the next four years. After his stint in the service, he began a career as a truck driver, which he continued until an accident a few years ago disabled him. One of his favorites hobbies was drawing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Barbara Jean Sproling and Sandra Eskridge, and one brother, Ivory Carl Sample.

He is survived by four sisters, Elaine Sample Tatum of Jonesboro, Evelyn Malone of Jonesboro, Hattie Gordon and husband Tracey of Jonesboro and Clara Honaker and husband Kevin of Kerrville, TX, two brothers, Charles Sample of Velejo, CA and Billy Sproling of CA, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Thursday, February 10th, at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisburg. There will be no committal services afterwards.
