Weiner- Billy Wayne Yelvington, 87, passed from this life on October 10, 2023 in Jonesboro after a brief illness.

He was born June 9, 1936 in Drew County, Arkansas to the union of his parents, Clarence Guy Yelvington and Geneva Elizabeth Daughtery Yelvington,

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Kenny Yelvington, Jimmy Yelvington and Don Yelvington; sister, Hyla Yelvington Jordan; grandsons, Aaron Griffis and bonus brother, Tony Norris.

Bill proudly served his country with the United States Army with time spent in Germany. He was a maintenance supervisor for the United States Army Corps of Engineer and retired in 1992. He spent his retirement days doing construction, leather making, hunting, fishing and living the lake life with his best friend Max. He loved God, his country, his guns and his family.

Those left to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Danna Yelvington Washington (George) and Beth Yelvington Coleman (Shaun); two sons, Jeffery Yelvington and Christopher Yelvington (Mary); grandchildren, Trey Gentry (Jennifer), Ginger Gentry Brewer (Richard), Michael Washington (Val), Derrick Reddish, Preston Reddish, Addison Lofton, Rhett Lofton, Bryce Coleman, Jace Coleman and Serenity; great-grandchildren, Skyla, Matt, Lindsey, Chloe, Carl Gentry IV and Reagan; his bonus daughter, Delaine whom he loved very much.

A graveside memorial service will be held at Lacey Cemetery in Lacey, Arkansas at a later date. The family would like to thank the physicians and staff at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.
