Pocahontas- Billy Joe Venson, 83, passed away on May 31, 2018 surrounded by loved ones.

Billy was born on January 1, 1935 in Biggers, AR to the late Ed and Loral Barnes Venson. He loved to hunt, fish, garden, and enjoyed his poker games and friends. He retired from Brown Shoe Company.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Loral Venson; siblings, Norman Jean Venson, Collen Godwin, Joyce Cook, Wilma Faye Morgan, Thomas Venson, and Danny Cook.

He is survived by his son, Scott Venson; daughters, Karen (David) Fortenberry and Robin (Mark) Brown; grandchildren, Travis Venson, Daniel Venson, Tristan Zosso, Brently Zosso, Dylan Ford, Jace Ford, Alex Brown, Austin Brown, and Adam Brown; great grandchildren that he loved dearly; sister, Shelby (Cicero) Jones along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 2, 2018 from 12-1 pm at McNabb Funeral Home Chapel with a funeral immediately following at 1 pm. Burial will follow in Hite Cemetery.

Lasting memorials in Billy's honor can be made to the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR.
