Pocahontas- Billy Gene Teel of Pocahontas, AR was born January 18, 1936 and passed away on the morning of October 6, 2017 at the age of 81.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Teel and Dixie Camp Huddleston and by 2 sisters Ava Jewel Pickett and Jo Evelyn Carey.

He was a 1955 graduate of Pocahontas High School. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army, where he proudly served in Germany.

After returning from the army, Bill met his wife of 54 years, Marie Wray Prater Teel. They have 3 children; 5 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Marie Prater Teel; his children, Paula (Tim) Jones of Paducah, KY, Richard Teel of Pocahontas, and Allen (Michelle) Teel of Pocahontas; his grandchildren, Stevie Paige Bressler, Tyler (Stephanie) Brewer, Ryan Teel, Ashley (Cody) Harper, and Hannah (Weston) Martin; his great grandchildren, Bryson Bressler, Milly Brewer, Samuel Brewer, Amelia Harper, Rhett Martin and Abri Brewer.

Bill loved his life. He enjoyed watching sports, westerns, and enjoying all the time he had with his family.

Visitation will Monday, October 9, 2017 from 10-12 PM at McNabb Funeral Home with a funeral service immediately following at 12:00 PM with Larry Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Maynard Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: Tim Prater, David Prater, Eric Prater, Ryan Teel, Jamie DeJournett, and Tyler Brewer.
