Jonesboro- Billy Austin Miles, 88, was born on October 13th, 1934 to Otis and Tressie Floyd Miles, and peacefully passed from this life on March 11th, 2023 with his wife at his side.

Bill loved his family more than anything. You could not have a conversation without hearing how proud he was of his family.  He was always happy and enjoyed talking to people and easily made friends wherever he went. He served in the United States Army and was awarded a Good Conduct Medal. He was a Christian and a member of First Baptist Church in Jonesboro. Bill also enjoyed meeting his buddies for coffee each day, the McDonald's Coffee Gang.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Tressie Ann Fox Miles; daughter, Sherri (Ken) Broadway;  grandchildren,  Mollie (Brian) Veteto, Ethan (Kayla) Broadway and Trey (Allison) Chism;  great grandchildren, Karsyn, Kyndall, Mason, Caroline and Max; a brother, Fred (Ruth Ann); sister, Aliene (Bill) Clifft and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Ernest Miles, Wayne Miles, Charles Miles, and grandson, Cody Broadway.

Services will be on Thursday March 16th at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with the visitation at 1:30 and the service at 3:00 p.m. with Rickey Rose officiating. The family will have a private graveside service.
