Hixton, TN - Billy Dean Gage born July 9, 1931 went home to be with his Lord on November 9, 2017. He passed away peacefully in Hixson, TN at the home of his son Mark and daughter in law Renee with whom he lived for the past year.

Billy graduated from Bono High School in 1950 and was a veteran of the US Air Force (1951-1954). He moved to Pontiac, MI in 1955 with his wife Jean and worked at Waterford Fuel and Supply Company from 1955 to 1976. He then went to work as a Truck Repairman at General Motors in Pontiac until he retired in 1996. He resided with his family in Clarkston, MI from 1960 until 2016 when he moved to Tennessee. Billy was a deacon at Scott Lake Baptist Church in Waterford, MI.

He was also survived by his son, Craig D. Gage and wife Mary of Davisburg, MI; four grandchildren; Andrew Gage (Jessica) of Chattanooga, TN, Shelley Espino (Mike) of Hixson, TN, Laura Skowron (David) of Hixson, TN, and Lisa Miles (Matthew) of Johnson City, TN; six great grandchildren, Montgomery Gage, Zora Gage, Taylor Skowron, Ethan Skowron, Kylie Espino, and Odom Miles; a brother of Rufus Gage Of Counce, TN; two sisters, Barbara Williams and Glenda Wilkins both of Bono.

He was preceded in death by his parents William Clyde Gage and Gladys Minton Gage Burris and his wife of 52 years, Garneita Jean Montgomery Gage.

Viewing will be held at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral home in Jonesboro on Sunday November 12 from 5 to 8 PM.

Funeral will be at 11am on Monday also at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral home. He will be buried in Herman Cemetery in Bono next to his beloved wife Jean.
