Pocahontas- Billy Jack Barnes,77, died at his home Friday. He was born in Biggers to the late Bill and Beulah Irene (Jackson) Barnes and was preceded in death by his wife Maxine Marie (Pendergrass) Barnes and a son Micheal Gale Pendergrass . He is survived by a son, Bryan Gene Barnes and wife Barbara of Pocahontas, two grandsons, Nick Barnes of Pocahontas and Phillip Pendergrass of Indiana, nine great grandchildren, three sisters, Cleta Ann (Sue) Stockwell, Shirley Griffin and Betty Jane Ward all of Pocahontas, two brothers,Carroll (Bunk) Barnes and Douglas (Windy) Barnes, both of Pocahontas, and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Toney Barnes, Rick Meeks, Tommy Stockwell, Josh Stockwell, David Clay, and Ronnie Stockwell all of Pocahontas. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Ray Johnson of Cherokee Village and Randy Meeks of Pocahontas. Visiation well be Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00. Services will be Monday at 10:00 am at the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with burial to follow in Randolph Memorial Gardens with Nelson Henderson Officiating. Military honors will be provided by Promberger-Traw Post 4556 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
