Jonesboro- Billie Sue Somers, 82, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2016. She was born November 13, 1933 in Trumann to the late Carl Otto and Mamie Florence Bradford Johnson. She was a member and faithfully served Ridgecrest Baptist Church for over fifty years. She was a licensed pharmacy tech for Soo's Pharmacy for over thirty years. On December 9, the Somers celebrated their sixty-fifth wedding anniversary. Mrs. Billie will be remembered for her generosity and as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Somers; their children and their spouses, Lloyd E. Somers, Jr. (Katie) of Denver, North Carolina, Cynthia Cooper (Rodney) of Little Rock and Matthew Somers (Stacy) of Blythwood, South Carolina; grandchildren, Carl Somers (JoAnna Jenson), Helen Somers Yousef (Faisal), Lance Bass (Thao), Lyndsey Piland (Matthew), Natalie James (Nathan), Wesley Cooper (Yana), Clayton Somers and Olivia Somers; great-grandchildren- Lana Yousef, Cooper Bass, Zarah Yousef, Arden Somers, Tobias Bass, Amelia Piland, Cooper Piland, Owen Piland, Audrey James and Luke James. She was also preceded in death by four sisters and a brother. A celebration of her life will be 12:00 noon Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home with Rev. Nathan James officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until time of service at the funeral home. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Wesley Cooper, Clayton Somers, Tracy Mooneyham, Brent Mooneyham, David Ezell and Daniel Adams.
