Obituary

Pocahontas - Bill Henley Spikes, 87, passed away Monday, December 20, 2010 at Five Rivers Medical Center. Born October 23, 1923 in Attica, AR to the late Jack and Ina Spikes. He is also preceded in death by one brother and six sisters. He is survived by wife Imogene Spikes of the home, two daughters; Pam (Philip) Burton and Ann (Tim) Woodruff all of Jonesboro and four grandchildren; Bill \u0026 Bart Burton and Libby \u0026 Mandy Woodruff. Mr. Spikes was a WWII veteran and served in Germany. He also worked at Brown Shoe for 41 years and was a member of the Pyburn Street Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Gary Colley and Harmon Seawel officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday night from 5-7:00 p.m. Pallbearers include: Bill Burton, Bart Burton, Johnny Spikes, Mike Herndon, Jerald Manning and Tom Green. Honorary Pallbearers: Libby Woodruff, Mandy Woodruff, Max Long, Ray Kellett, Bill Johnston, Jack English, and Byron Futrell.
