Mr. Bill Robinson of Harrisburg departed this life Thursday, May 24, 2018, at his home, at the age of 78.
He was born October 25, 1939, the son of the late William Young Robinson and Freda Anna Pearson Robinson.
Bill married Lorrie Chambers on July 27, 1960 and they enjoyed almost 58 years together. He was a retired Maintenance Mechanic from Frito Lay and was an avid fisherman. He was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church in Harrisburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Coy, Jimmy and Dewey Robinson.
He is survived by his wife, Lorrie Robinson of the home, one daughter, Gaylene Timmons (Russell) of Bay, one son, Randy Robinson (Lelah) of Frisco, TX and one brother, Johnny Robinson (Susan) of Bay.
Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 26, 2018, at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisburg with Rev. Kenny McMahan officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Log Cemetery at Brookland. Friends may visit at the funeral home Saturday, 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Those serving as pallbearers will include Randy Robinson, Russell Timmons, Donnie Rickard, Mike Stallings, Darrell Gerken and Mike Chambers. Those wishing to send memorials are asked to consider Shiloh Baptist Church in Harrisburg.
