Jonesboro- Billie Dale Alexander, 87, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at St. Bernards Medical Center.
He was born August 24, 1931 in Jonesboro to the late William and Elthia Wood Alexander. Bill served his country proudly in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, stationed in Puerto Montt, Chile. He owned and operated City Barber Shop in Nettleton for over thirty years. He enjoyed reading, traveling, and loved spending time with his family. He was devoted to his wife Donna and was her caretaker for the last five years.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Avona Wade and Bernadine Lewis and a brother, James Alexander.
He was survived by his wife of sixty-six years, Donna Sue Alexander; his children and their spouses, Toni and Sid Johnson of Jonesboro and Mark and his wife Sherri of Valley Center, California; a brother and his wife, Darrell and Carole Alexander of Sun City, Arizona; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial visitation will be from 2:00 until 4:00 pm Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
